Motto Definitions:

Real Love – This is the Trunk of the Family Tree, the glue that keeps family together. Not fake, superficial or self-imposed, but an organic "unconditional feeling that seeks nothing in return. A family's love psychologically grounds you and provides a framework for future relationships. It enables you to form secure positive attachments. Positive attachments and feeling cared for by loved ones lead to higher social functioning later on" in life. (quoted text adapted from: www.verywellmind.com)

Nurtures“encompasses the environmental factors that impact who we are. This includes our early childhood experiences, the way we were raised, our social relationships, and the surrounding culture”. (quoted text adapted from: www.verywellmind.com)

Continuous Abundance – This is NOT about creating financial wealth, but an ongoing "state of mind and a set of beliefs. It’s a way of looking at the world, others, and yourself. It is deciding to believe that the universe will provide if you keep your end of the contract by believing” anything is possible. (quoted text adapted from: medium.com)

Joy – an ongoing "state of being that allows one to experience feelings of intense, long-lasting happiness and contentment of life". (quoted text adapted from: en.wikipedia.org)

Resilience – is the "ability to adapt without surrendering your values, to recover without forgetting what hurt you and to grow stronger without becoming hardened or bitter". (quoted text adapted from: LauraAbolichannel)

These additional definitions are also part of our family ethos (and were used to create the LovingTree):

Integrity – In the most simplest of terms - being honest with yourself; doing what is right when no one else is watching. Do you cheat yourself? If you do, you will cheat others.

Honesty – The quality of telling the truth, being authentic and genuine. "True honesty is always from a loving heart and a willingness to be open and vulnerable". (quoted text adapted from: abbymedcalf.com)

It should be noted that everyone will have varing degrees of the above attributes at any given time. After all, we are all human. That said, we fully believe that these components of living life definitely promote a healthy, fun and respecful family environment which pay dividends as the family generations grow.
